Getting to Walvis Bay
Arrival, getting to know each other and dinner

Day 1: Walfischbucht
Unloading and getting the bikes ready in Walvis Bay; packing for the tour

Day 2: Destination: Swakopmund
First sand exercises and maybe a cake in Swakopmund?

Day 3: Free camp
via tracks or off-road to the free campsite south of the “Mountain of the Gods”

Day 4: Twyfelfontein
A highlight of the tour: the famous rock hill in Damaraland with its ancient rock engravings

Day 5: Warmquelle
the route continues northwards

Day 6: Opuwo
Rest at Sesfontein wild camp in a tributary of the Hoanib

Day 8+9: Epupa Falls
On slope to Kunene, bath in Epupa Falls

Day 10: Kunene
Along the Kunene, rest at Kunene River Lodge, camp by the river

Day 11+12: Etosha east
through the Ovamboland to Etosha East
On a day off from driving, take a break or go on a safari in the national park

Day 13: Rundu
via tracks and/or roads to Rundu

Day 14: Divundu
either on tracks or along the road by the Kavango; camp by the river

Day 15: Katima Mulilo
through the Caprivi Strip to Katima Mulilo on the Zambezi

Day 16: Kasane
Border crossing into Botswana and, optionally, a jeep safari in Chobe National Park

Day 17+18: Victoria Falls
across the border to Zimbabwe and on to Victoria Falls; rest day

Day 19: Hwange National Park
a short trip into the large national park

Day 20: Nata

The tour is new to the programme and is being run in cooperation with local event organisers and organisations.

We look forward to the new challenges.

Tour-individual minimum requirements:

– Sufficient driving skills (difficulty S1-S3, off-road selectively up to S4, details)

– Big machines, boxers etc. in Namibia and certain routes in Angola on request (sand riding experience with the machine required!)

– Experience in sand ideal, but not essential (opportunity to practise on the first day)
