Getting to Walvis Bay
Arrival, getting to know each other and dinner

Day 1: Walfischbucht
Unloading and getting the bikes ready in Walvis Bay; packing for the tour

Day 2: Destination: Swakopmund
First sand exercises and maybe a cake in Swakopmund?

Day 3: Outjo
via Omaruru to Outjo

Day 4+5: Etosha east
to the eastern side of Etosha National Park
Safari or a day off

Day 6: Free camp
freies Camp vor der Grenze

– Angola –

Day 7: Border crossing into Angola
we’ll sort out the border formalities
first night in Angola

Day 8: Cahama
We cross the Kunene heading north-west

Day 9+10: Lubango
a spectacular round trip through the mountains
Who also likes to go up and down the Serra da Leba?

Day 11: Namibe
off to the seaside and to a lovely campsite near the beach

Day 12: Virei
no driving today or a trip to the Tchitundo-Hulo geoglyphs

Day 13: Lago Arco
teilweise am Meer entlang Richtung Süden
via Tombua to Lago Arco; sea-side camp

Day 14: Iona National Park
on gravel through the large park

Day 15: Ruacana dam reservoir
Just before the border, we spend the night at the Ruacana Reservoir

Day 16: Kunene
a shady campsite right on the banks of the Kunene

Day 17+18: Epupa Falls
Auf Pisten am Kunene entlang, Pause in der Kunene River,
a bath in the Epupa Falls

Day 19: Opuwo
Rest at Sesfontein wild camp in a tributary of the Hoanib

Day 20: Khumib
free campsite in the Khumib riverbed

Day 21: Warmquelle
bei Warmquelle erwartet uns eine kleine Überraschung

Day 22: Palmwag
You can continue on to Palmwag either directly or via the Grootberg Pass

Day 23: Twyfelfontein
A highlight of the tour: the famous rock hill in Damaraland with its ancient rock engravings

Day 24: Brandberg
on gravel or through a lot of sand to the camp at Brandberg

Day 25: Optional: free camp
via tracks or off-road to the free campsite south of the “Mountain of the Gods”

Day 26: Spitzkoppe
breathtaking rock formations and spectacular sunsets

Day 27: Walvis Bay
along the coast or south of the dune ridge; a group dinner to round off the tour

Day 28: Walvis Bay
Loading of the motorcycles, end of the tour, departure

The tour is completely new to the programme and is being run in cooperation with local event organisers and organisations.

We look forward to the new challenges.

Tour-individual minimum requirements:

– Sufficient driving skills (difficulty S1-S3, off-road selectively up to S4, details)

– Big machines, boxers etc. in Namibia and certain routes in Angola on request (sand riding experience with the machine required!)

– Experience in sand ideal, but not essential (opportunity to practise on the first day)
